Yes, I know. We've all taken the tests already. But their fun and appeal to our desire to figure out ourselves and others.
Sooo... I usually come up either as an ENTP or ENFJ.
What are you and has it change over time? Do you come up always with one result or usually one of two (like myself)?

I always flip back and forth between INFP and ENFP.

I'm pretty sure that deep down inside I'm an ENFP, but I have problems with social anxiety, which lead me to answer questions as an INFP. However, the E's have been showing up more often lately.

People change over time. Sometimes grow and become more comfortable with themselves and the world around them. Or the flip side when traumatic things happen.
As a child, I was outgoing with friends but would become shy and very uncomfortable in public situations. Now? I can talk to anyone and enjoy it. If I had taken this test 20 years ago the results would have been very different.
I've always been terribly curious to know if anyone finds these tests useful in a practical manner.

according to myers briggs results, people change thruout the day ;)

I normally get ENTP, but recently got ENFP, which seemed more accurate a description for me.

IMO the type is not so important as the trait. For instance I am obviously pretty close to 50/50 on thinking vs. feeling. Intuitive on the other hand I consistantly score 100% for.

But does reading up on this, have results from any personality test, give you any pratical insight to yourself? I'm just curious.
I have a v.p. in our company that took a test through company training (not this one) that stated she needed time alone to re-energize. She realized it was true and started making sure she had time alone each day. Found she liked her job and life better. But I wonder if these tests are only helpful if you just haven't realized some aspects of yourself.

Yes, I think answering profound questions gives insight, no matter how accurate or inaccurate the test. Thinking about your opinions and feelings is a healthy way to know yourself better.

Your friend likely discovered she is an introvert. Psychologists today favor the "Big five" trait indicators, and the "introvert / extrovert" continuum has shown itself to be particularly high in validity, reliability and utility.

I get either ENFP or ENTP.

It seems if i take it right when i wake up in the morning i receive a ENTP and when i take it later before i go to bed i get a ENFP, so i am thinking that the time of day may have a link to it.

Now I get ENTJ. For me at least the only consistent part seems to be the EN (intuitive extrovert). I like the description for "Field Marshall" tho ;) Have you ever thought to just pick which one you like best, test be darned?

I've taken this test a few times, and it consistently comes out INFJ. :)

ENTP - almost always.

If surrounded by thinkers I drift F, surrounded by feelers I drift T.
